No real spoilers here. I just have to say this one is probably the best so far imo.

Yes, there was that one bit that was lewd, but overall it felt better than the others. Maybe they are finally starting to get used to the new setup. I also think even they are starting to realize CBC is cringe inducing since they moved on from it rather quickly. Skinner wasn’t in this one either so that was nice. I thought he was funny at first but he got old quick.

Of course it could all change next week, so who knows.

I loved this episode. Watched it with the girlfriend and got us talking about how things used to be when I’d get the newest TG and we’d watch it while eating dinner and then bang afterwards. I called it “The toppest of gears”. Well this is the first episode of the series which let us stay in the mood afterwards.....so thanks, episode 5. You got me laid tonight.

SPOILER ALERT!

The segment with Hammond and May playing battleship with cars was a great throw back to Top Gear seasons 1-6. It reminded me of fun segments like car darts , car conkers, & RC cars. Top Gear hasn’t done something like that in years and I’m glad it’s back!

Keep the road trip films, keep Skinner, but most importantly, Keep the really really childish segments!

It was great!

I really, genuinely enjoyed that one and it’s the first episode that make me feel that way... Other ones were OK, somewhat fun, but didn’t generate the excitment I had when new Top Gear episodes would show up. This episode would be among the best Top Gear episodes I know... I also felt a lot less scripted than the other 4 episodes, their reaction felt more... natural.

That’s kinda how I feel. They were rusty and just needed some time to get things sorted I think.
